The Water Pillow by Mediflow
Mediflow water pillows support your neck with a water base you fill yourself. Soft, medium or firm, your call.

Foam and fiber compress under the weight of your head, so your neck spends hours out of line.
Water does not compress. The support you set at bedtime is still there when you wake up.

Every Mediflow pillow is built the same way, whichever comfort layer you choose.
Memory foam, cooling gel foam, down, down alternative or fiber. Pick the feel you like against your cheek.
Fully sealed and insulated, it sits under the comfort layer. The water shifts as you move and reshapes around your head and neck.
Add water for more height and firmness, or pour some out for less. Change it any night you like.

Fill guide
Mediflow suggests about 2 liters for soft, 3 for medium and 4 to 5 for firm. Start here, then fine-tune over a few nights.

How do you usually fall asleep?
Suggested starting fill
3 to 4 L
Side sleeping leaves the widest gap between your shoulder and head, so most side sleepers want more height.

The research
In a Johns Hopkins study of people with chronic neck pain, a water-based pillow was linked to less morning pain and better sleep than their usual pillow.
Lavin, Pappagallo and Kuhlemeier, “Cervical pain: a comparison of three pillows,” Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, 1997. Results vary from person to person, and a pillow is not a treatment for any medical condition.

Read every answerMediflow suggests about 2 liters (2 quarts) for soft support, 3 for medium and 4 to 5 for firm. Most people start around 3 liters and adjust over a few nights until the height feels right.
Both use the same adjustable water base. Elite pillows add a 100% cotton, 300 thread count shell, durable corded edges and extra-ventilated foams. The Elite Memory Foam pillow also has a zip-off case for easy washing.
The pouch is insulated and sits beneath the comfort layer, so you feel the foam, down or fiber against your face rather than the water itself.
Both sizes fit standard and queen pillowcases. Foam and down pillows measure 18 x 26 inches. Fiber and down-alternative pillows measure 20 x 28 inches.
Unopened pillows in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept pillows that have been opened or filled with water, unless they arrive damaged or defective. See the returns policy for details.
